Linggo ng Lahi is a celebration done by all schools nationwide. Whether the celebration is for the whole month of August, one week or a day of celebration we, Filipinos take time to celebrate and be reminded of what our forefathers and leaders did to the country and how we value Filipinos – the culture and tradition and the values we learned. In our school, we did it for the whole day and I was privileged to sing during the said celebration.
I was chosen as one of the judges in Linggo ng Wika of Trinity Christian School here in Bacolod City. There were 3 of us, one judge was a retired teacher of the same school and the other was once a DOULOS volunteer worker; those who travel with around the world and share God’s love.
All the students were cute and some cried in front of the stage. I wanted to take some pictures but I forgot to bring the camera with me. We even were invited to dine with the kids for lunch. We ate lechon and chicken barbeque. I guess, I ate unhealthy food today. I will be eating more of vegetables and fruits again this week.
