Life had been tough for me this past month. I was given a chance to have a baby for just 2 months. It was taken away from last April 25 when I it was discovered that my baby had no more heartbeat at all. It was tough since I was given 5 days to prepare for some amount for an unwanted operation to take the demise fetus inside of me and since I took a lot of medicine already to let the fetus grew and survive. So my doctor decided to take all, known as TAHBSO, Total Abdominal Hysterectomy Bilateral Salpingo Oophorectomy. I was scared a bit but I have nothing to do because my doctor wanted my safety. The meaning of this operation: This is the removal of the uterus including the cervix as well as the tubes and ovaries using an incision in the abdomen. Hysterectomy may be total, as removing the body and cervix of the uterus or partial, also called supra-cervical.. Salpingo refers specifically to the fallopian tubes which connect the ovaries to the uterus. Oophorectomy is the surgical removal of an ovary or ovaries.
Hubby was quite anxious since we don’t have enough to spend, however, the Lord used some friends and family members to help us. Most of our friends in our church helped and took care of me when I was in the hospital. On the first day of my stay in the hospital hubby was there but had been coughing for the whole night. So instead of helping me to go back and forth to the toilet while having my enema – I allowed him to sleep and rest. I was alone for the whole day going back and forth to the toilet. I need to be clean inside in order to be prepared for the operation the next day. According to the attending nurse to avoid complication during the actual operation I need to be clean inside that’s why my enema experience was tough and hard. The whole night I wasn’t able to sleep until 6 in the morning. I was asking God’s help and strength during that time and the Lord answered my prayers.
I was able to survive amidst the struggles, pains and storms of life. That experience was indeed memorable and unforgettable for me. I was even amazed that I wasn’t able to experience blood transfusion although they asked me to prepare 2 bags of blood. The Lord was so gracious to me and I declare His goodness and faithfulness in my life. He even provided to pay our bills when I went out after 5 days. God is good all the time!
